Caring for your leather shoes

Looked after well, genuine leather ages beautifully. A few simple habits go a long way:

  • Wipe down after wear with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt.
  • Condition occasionally with a quality leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
  • Polish with a matching cream or wax to nourish the leather and restore shine.
  • Rest your shoes between wears — rotating pairs lets them dry out and recover their shape.
  • Use shoe trees (ideally cedar) to absorb moisture and hold the shape.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight.

Please note that natural characteristics of leather — such as colour transfer, wrinkles and creasing — and water damage aren't considered manufacturing faults.
