Quality leather moulds to your foot over time. To break in a new pair comfortably:
- Wear them for short periods indoors at first, on carpet, to keep them in returnable condition while you check the fit.
- Pair them with good socks to reduce rubbing.
- Build up wear gradually over several outings rather than a full day straight away.
- Use shoe trees between wears to help hold the shape.
A little firmness at first is normal as the leather softens. If the fit genuinely isn't right, keep them unworn outside and start a return within the returns window.
